August 6 is the first Saturday of the month, and that means it's time for SATURDAY NIGHT BALLROOM at Just Dance Studios / Georgetown West in Wood Dale!

Join Vito 8.6.16 at 7:30 pm for a foxtrot lesson, followed by social ballroom and Latin dancing from 8:00 on, delicious snacks and refreshments, a friendly crowd, spacious dance floor, and all the fun you can possibly have!

Well hello there,

Hope you've been doing fine! Plenty of fun activities coming up at Just Dance Studios...

Tomorrow night, Thursday, June 2, I'll be teaching a one-time-only Stationary Cha Cha workshop. Often associated with the country song “Neon Moon”, the stationary cha cha is a line/formation type dance that can be danced as a couple or single. If you've seen it done before you know it looks really impressive. Fortunately, it isn't difficult to learn. I'll teach you everything you need to know to get up and join the group. For those of you who already have the basics down, I'll also go over some fun variations that you can add. The workshop is at 7:00 pm. You can pay in person the first night of class, or if you prefer to register online, you can do so here.

Also tomorrow night, Thursday, June 2, at 8:00 Intermediate Rumba will continue on Thursday nights at 8:00. This is back by popular demand; the students were enjoying it and wanted to continue one more month. We will be teaching new patterns, so if you already know the rumba basics and care to join this fun group, you are welcome to begin the new month with us!

It's time for Saturday Night Ballroom! This Saturday, June 4 is the night for our monthly dance at Just Dance Studios, Georgetown West. Get your Hawaiian shirt, and bermuda shorts out! This time around, we're going Summer casual. This one's also a potluck, so bring a dish to share and come with an appetite. I'll teach a beautiful rumba pattern that I think you'll really like prior to the social ballroom and Latin dancing.

Keeping that Summer theme going, I'll start Merengue Group Class next week. It begins Thursday, June 9 at 7:00 pm and continues on Thursday evenings for the remainder of the month of June. This class is open to everyone, from newcomer to advanced, couples and singles. It's been a while since we've re-visited this festive, tropical-inspired dance. We're going to have a great time!
