Friday Nights at Georgetown Clubhouse with Vito Magrone
Last night's dance was so much fun! It brought both new and familiar faces. If you haven't been to Vito's class/open ballroom dance on Friday nights at the Georgetown Clubhouse yet, you are invited to stop by and check it out. Folks, this is a very nice event!!! I think you'll discover a friendly crowd, welcoming environment, fun group of people, and everyone just having a great time. Of course, Vito's charm and personality speaks for itself. As does his skill as a dancer and teacher. You'll be glad you came.
Schedule Change - Good News!
When we're not ballroom dancing at the Georgetown Clubhouse, they host weddings and parties there. That's good, because this is not just a re-purposed gym or community center. It's a very nice place to dance. The flipside of that is scheduling. As you can imagine, it can be tricky. Vito was originally told he could not reserve the 16th of November date because it was booked. Well, they must have had a cancellation at the clubhouse, because Vito was told this week the date is now available. So, good news... we're back on for Friday the 16th! Things to Do This Week
As I mentioned above, we're back on for the 16th! Come out and dance with Vito and friends this Friday night.
Vito will also be hosting his monthly dance at Ballroom City in Villa Park on Saturday, November 17th.

Hi gang,
Talked to Vito today. We're going to have what could best be described as a "mini dance" after the cha cha class this Friday. I'll be there for both the class and the open dance with my full library of 8,500+ ballroom and popular dance tunes; a selection of the most popular songs for your dancing and listening pleasure.
Last time I was at the Georgetown Clubhouse, it was a great time. We ended the evening with a few songs directly played through the sound system directly from Joe Sbertoli's iPod. I do take requests. If you have a particular dance you'd like to do or a song you'd like to hear, feel free to add a comment below and I'll add it to the evening's playlist.
Guaranteed to be a fun evening! Class starts at 7:00 and open dance begins at 8:00. The cost is $10, lesson included. All the details are here:

Many of you know Mike Fitzgerald.
Well, Mike created a Testimonials page on Vito's website. This was a fantastic idea. Nothing could possibly be a better recommendation for Vito's amazing talent, both as a dancer and instructor, and for his 1000-watt personality than the word-of-mouth of his dancers, right?
Sure... but, to date, there are (count 'em) TWO testimonials! Pretty pathetic, huh? LOL!
While Mike is away with his lovely wife Barb for two months vacationing in Arizona, I'll be taking care of Vito's website. I'd say I got the better end of that deal, don't you think? (Ha ha ha!) At any rate, during that time, I'd like to add a few more testimonials. Actually, I'd like to add many more. Two is a pretty puny number.
If you care to give Mr. Magrone a shout-out, please either post a comment here on the blog or contact me privately and I'll post it.
We sure could use it, and I'm sure Vito will be most appreciative. Feel free to use humor, ("Step before you turn" references, anyone?). No need to be formal. This is, after all, a ballroom dancing website. It's supposed to be fun!

has flown by! I can't believe we're approaching the weekend already... time to
firm up some plans:Vito has a Cha Cha group lesson at the
Georgetown Clubhouse this Friday night, 11/2. The Cha Cha pattern Vito will
teach is for all dancers. That means everyone is welcome, regardless of level of
expertise. This is a fun, easygoing and casual evening. On top of all of that,
there is open dance practice after the lesson. Guaranteed to be a good
